GOALS: For me personally, I was afraid to fail. I didn't want to set goals and stress about not achieving them. Well last year, I decided I wanted to see what would happen to me, personally, financially, spiritually if I set goals and stuck with them. Check out some of my results from 1st Quarter.
Follow Your Passion
AN OPEN LETTER TO La'Neice
I want to truly apologize for my OVERLY DELAYED...ULTRA LATE response. For some reason, Facebook has created a "spam" message folder and I never seen your message, until today.
One piece of advice, follow your heart.
In short, ultimately once you become successful, everyone will understand and finally realize you're a genius.
IN LONG: lol - In my final semester at UNCC I knew I was in the wrong major...in the wrong field. But I wanted to finish "the race" so bad, even if it meant pleasing someone else. WORST decision ever lol. For the next year or two I found myself rejecting jobs simply because I loved doing something I was passionate about: photography and graphic design. Let me put this in perspective for you...I'm a recent Computer Software graduate and I score a interview right out of college at a corporate office in Ballantyne. So I go in, kill my interview, received my call back...and what do I do...before the offer is made, I agree to going back and serving lattes at a coffee shop, simply because it gave me the opportunity to do what I love!
Now think about my mom and how that made her feel...
When you follow your passion, a couple of things happen (or should happen). It puts you into focus and creates a new drive within you. Following your passion allows you to focus and kick everything into gear and MAKING things work. You will find a new drive in within yourself, where you will do whatever it takes!
If I truly could do it over...I would've built up the courage you have at this very moment and followed my heart. Your time of being unhappy is way more expensive than money spent, especially on a degree you never really wanted in the first place.
La'Neice I wish you nothing but the best in your new career. As always, if I can be of an assistance, never hesitate to ask!
