When we start a business, pride blocks us from giving assistance, but also it blocks us from asking for help. Trust me, Ive been on both sides of the coin and it sucks.
This birthday I was blessed with several gifts from my loved ones. One of my greatest and most thoughtful gifts was my first photography class provided by The Light Factory in Plaza Midwood!! First off I must say Thank you to Ms. CLee for this wonderful opportunity, second...this class is great simply because "its a laid back course that is serious but not intense." When I use the term "serious" its because I have equipment I needed to buy (things I should have already...Camera, tripod, etc) but in the same breath its a laid back course.
So for my first homework assignment, I had to learn how to use Aperture. (Think about the pictures you love, with the blurry backgrounds lol)
Lets take a look below.

No matter the day, the hour, the person or the subject- NO PHOTOSHOOT is the same. But this Saturday, the photoshoot was very different. I was given a subject, where my desires to produce great work exceeded expertise. The subject, a male, celebrating his 49th birthday, from Charlotte, NC was not my typical client. A Life Lesson from My Father
featuring Reginald Boulware
Michael Jordan knew he was the greatest, even before we accepted he was the greatest. Before the shot over Russell, before the "Flu Game", even before he crossed Larry...Michael knew he was the G.O.A.T.
Being that I was born in 1989, by the time I was able to realize who Michael Jordan really was, he couldn't make a mistake in my eyes. As I grew older I took out the time a researched his legacy, his thought process, his goals as a man and player. One thing I really admired about Michael Jordan was his business mind and legacy of the AIR JORDAN shoe.
The detail of each shoe and how each shoe was crafted to help and assist with Michael's game, still amazes me to this day. Without boring you with details you don't care about, let me be clear...each and every night, the greatest to grace the game of basketball, wore the greatest shoes available.
Logic and history stated above is why I, Gavin Bernard Boulware, wear Jordan’s to every shoot no matter the occasion. When I step onto my court, I want to be the greatest; I'm just waiting for you to accept what I already know.
