Man 2016 is almost moving too fast. We're already at the midpoint of the year, when yesterday it seem like I was bringing in the new year! Honestly I believe I sold myself short on this "goal setting thing". I had aspirations of saving some money, getting a new job and getting published. Well honestly I've found myself setting new goals and achieving those things. I've created Chimeras Dream merchandise, helped a few friends with marketing their own start ups and I'm starting a podcast! #UNSCRIPTED! [More on that later]. Lets take a look at my 2016 Goal Progression!
GOAL 1: Photography: Classes at the Light Factory - 2 Publications - $7,000 in Revenue
Overview: FUSE MAGAZINE - VOL. 25 - PAGE 25! BOWWW!! I've been published for a second time, and this go round in a print magazine. Special thanks to AB for taking a chance and giving me the opportunity. This first goal is already 2/3 complete but now comes the hard part: $7,000 in revenue. Currently I'm at $2,462 vs the $3,500 "on progress goal". Honestly I need to do better at attacking this goal. Several clients have flaked on meetings and pushed them back, I should recover the $1100 next week honestly, but I learned a very important lesson: "Don't count your chickens until they've hatch". Grade: B
GOAL 2: Family: Better Education for Haiden - Career Path
Overview: Haiden, Haiden, Haiden. This guy is classic! The only 3 year old that I allow to wake me at 6:30am to tell me about daycare stories from a week prior. His education is growing more and more each day. I had hopes of possibility helping him to find a new daycare, but I believe the best solution right now is helping him learning more efficient in his current environment. Now instead of listening to music every morning on the way to daycare, we go over his numbers, colors, spelling words and etc. I could definitely improve in this area if I ask Mama for weekly task and goals. Grade: B-
GOAL 3: Vacation - New York
Overview: The Big Apple: AMAZING to say the least. Although it was ridiculously cold, 28 degrees and light snow isn't my thing, but it was cool seeing The Statue of Liberty, going up in The Empire State Building and spending everyday in Times Square. I loved New York so much that I'm heading back first week of August. Grade: A+
UPDATED GOAL: BACK TO NEW YORK CITY!
GOAL 4: Save $3,000
Overview: Where did I get 3k from? I HAVE NO IDEA. Either way, I smashed that goal. In the past I saved, unknowingly, I saved but because I had no purpose in saving, I spent the money on random, ignorant things. Currently I want a new car, I want to go travel a lot next year and I need a new Camera...the camera alone, no lens is over 3k but that's an entire different story. Since I've achieved this goal, i think its important to 'reconstruct' this goal. Right now my credit score is a 720. [Im not bragging, merely being transparent. If I wanted to brag I would tell you what it was after I bought my house...it was higher]. I would love to raise my credit score by 20pts. It'lI be nice by October to be at 730+ Grade: A+
UPDATED GOAL: RAISE CREDIT SCORE TO 740
GOAL 5: Don't miss no more than 1 church service a month
Overview: I think I'm at the point now where I don't miss any services unless I'm not in town- Congrats Sierra on graduation. Church is amazing but I think it's important now to start visiting Bible Study. I would love to visit a few Bible Studies by the completion of Quarter 3. Grade: A
UPDATED GOAL: ATTEND BIBLE STUDY
